juno (remi wolf, 2021)

i wore this album OUT in summer 2022 and continue to revisit on a regular basis. it's fun, funky, weird, explicit, sincere, silly and full of bangers from top to bottom.

favorite tracks:

anthony kiedis
quiet on set
buttermilk

commit this to memory (motion city soundtrack, 2005)

i think i've seen MCS maybe 10 times in my life. i loved them when i was a tween and i love them even more as an adult. they're completely to blame for my affinity for hyper pop and break beat drums.

made me who i am today!!!

favorite tracks:

saturday night divas

extraordinary machine (fiona apple, 2005)

narrow stairs (death cab for cutie, 2008)

i don't know how to choose a fave death cab album. i listen to this one a lot! i've loved them since high school. one time my friends snuck me out of school to drive to see them in wisconsin. jack's mannequin and the ting tings opened.

favorite tracks:

cath...
your new twin sized bed
long division
four (one direction, 2014)

the last 1d album when they were all together, and the album that i think defines their sound the best. i miss one direction SO MUCH. i go back to four the most out of all their albums, although i have favorite songs on all of them.

favorite tracks:

stockholm syndrome
fool's gold
ready to run
middle cyclone (neko case, 2009)

i get the most intense goosebumps listening to neko case. i got to see her live in 2019 and she sounded incredible! fun fact: she has perfect pitch. her songwriting is also stellar.

favorite tracks:
